Built in 1892, this building is said to
be the oldest house in Seattle still on its original location. After
a siding job several years earlier, the stain finish was weathered and
moldy. The owner designed a plan with approximately 12 different colors.
After a careful wash and mildew treatment, the prime coating was brushed
into all the undersides and crevices for a solid base coating. The finish
paint is Pratt & Lambert Accolade, noted at the time for color-fastness
in bright tones. The result of our work—a tasteful Victorian with
exceptional endurance.
